Save Time and Reduce the Effort with RTUL's Ultrasonic Cleaning Systems

Have you ever heard of Industrial Ultrasonic Cleaning Equipment before? It is the equipment used by a lot of industries to clean types of objects such as musical instruments, lenses, surgical instruments, optical parts, jewelry, watches, tools, coins, firearms, electronic equipment, and many more.

Industrial Ultrasonic Cleaning Systems are  very easy, less costly and safe to use. The ultrasonic cleaning is unique and uses the technology of ultrasound usually from 20 – 400 kHz. It is used to clean items with an appropriate and the right amount of cleaning solvent along with the soiling to enhance the effect. However, an ordinary tap water also can be used in the cleaning process. You may need to wait for about 10 to 20 minutes, depending on the object that you want to be cleaned. Ultrasonic Cleaning Equipment is very popular today since being used in the past industry in about 1950’s.

Have you ever wondered how Industrial Ultrasonic Cleaning Systems work? You may be interested in how this higher technology works right? This equipment uses certain types  of bubbles of the cavitation type made by higher frequency sound waves to make agitation of the liquid. The high forces produced by the agitation on contaminants adhering to substrate materials such as rubber, metals, plastic, glass and as well as ceramics. This action will penetrate recesses, cracks and blind holes. This action will eliminate all contamination sources of very embedding or adhering into the solid surfaces. Of course you can use solvents or water, depending on the contamination type or the workpiece. The contaminants may include a lot of dirt’s such as dust, bacterial, grease, fingerprint, soot wax, algae, rust, flux agents and biological soil. However, you must always remember not to let the object rest on the bottom of the device during the cleaning process, because that will prevent the cavitation from taking place on the part of the object not in contact with the solvent. So, you should always avoid from letting the object rest on the bottom of the device.

The cleaning solution already contains ingredients designed just to ensure that the ultrasonic cleaning becomes more effective. Let’s say, reduction of surface tension increases the   cavitation levels, so the solution contains a very good and effective wetting agent which is ‘surfactant’. Therefore, some cleaning solutions such as aqueous contain detergents, wetting agents and a lot of other components. For cleaning medical applications, it is very important to set the temperatures approximately below 40-45 Degree Celsius. Apart from that, the solutions are mostly used warm approximately 50-65 Degree Celsius. Water-based solutions can also be used, but it is not very effective in removing contaminants by chemical action.

In conclusion, aqueous cleaning system for a particular purpose is so much greater than for a solvent system. However, the Industrial Ultrasonic Cleaning Systems will not sterilize the objects after cleaning since it is not designed to eliminate viruses. There most chosen and frequently used Ultrasonic Cleaning Equipment is the one that is manufactured by RTUL branded ultrasonic cleaning and degreasing equipment for a vast range of applications.
