SPECIAL FEATURES OF ULTRASONIX 4400M
The model
4400M has digital LCD Display for direct readout of Flaw location for normal and angular
scanning. The inbuilt software helps the operator to know directly the distance/depth,
particularly in the angle beam scanning avoiding lengthy trignometric calculations. It
also measures transit time and velocity. With help of shear wave Transducer it helps in
knowing shear velocity which can be used for Elastic constant measurement. The various
material parameters related with velocity of sound can be found & used to know
material characteristics. Roop Telsonic Ultrasonix Ltd. offers additional software (for
curve fitting) for correlating sonicvelocity to mechanical parameters.
Most advantageous festures include storage of calibration data for Transducers & the
measured data. Calibration data for 10 Transducers can be stored and recalled as and when
particular Transducer is used. The measured data can also be stored upto 100 readings.
Apart from meeting all the basic specifications of Model 4400A, the model 4400M offers
various added features for fast and reliable Testing.
The 4400M is fitted with RS232 output connection which facilitate it to be hooked up to a
computer. With special software which can be supplied, the stored data in memory can be
downloaded on PC or on floppy. The software also enables to get graphical printout of
measured flaw parameters as permanent record. |
