Screening and treatment systems are absolute essentials in various industrial sectors for
treating or processing material or for bringing it ultimately to the required size to
allow further processing or direct use.
Screening and treatment come in various forms- manual, semi-automatic or fully automatic at
different screening stages. The most important element in screening, however, is the
method. The right technology determines the throughput with very fine mesh sizes and
materials which are difficult to screen. This is of particular relevance, for example, to
production companies in the fields of chemistry, pharmaceutics, food and semi luxury
goods, plastics, metallurgy and the minerals industry. These industries make extremely
tough demands on screening performance with minimum failure rates. Conventional screening
technology is based essentially on a vibratory/tumbling motion of the screen which is
responsible for the throughput and for the separation of the oversize. The ultrasound
assisted SONOSCREEN screening system backs up the screen fabric with an additional
uniformly vibrating motion in the mm range. This reduces the friction between the screen
fabric and the bulk material which can result in a
considerable increase in throughput, depending on the screen feed. At the same time the
use of ultrasound reduces the danger of blinding since the screen fabric is constantly
cleaned. This therefore guarantees continuous economic production. The associated running
costs are minimized.
